The New Mexico Attorney General’s Sunshine Roadshow will make a stop in Hobbs on March 17, 2010. The free Roadshow seminar trains public officials, public employees and citizens in how to interpret and implement New Mexico’s “sunshine” laws – the Open Meetings Act and the Inspection of Public Records Act. These two transparency laws are the pillar of open government in our state, insuring that the public can freely access government meetings and information. Please RSVP to prael@nmag.gov for this event.

The New Mexico Foundation for Open Government has participated in the AG’s sunshine roadshow for more than a decade. The Roadshow travels throughout the state, and is always free and open to the public. For more information, call 764-3750.
