The Open Meetings Act requires all public bodies, as defined by OMA, to at least annually determine what constitutes “reasonable notice” when applied to that body. NMSA 1978 § 10-15-1-D
The notice shall include broadcast stations licensed by the Federal Communications Commission and newspapers of general circulation that have provided the public body a written request for notice of meetings. NMSA 1978 § 10-15-1-D
Note that other statutes, codes or ordinances may impose different or more stringent notice requirements. For example, state agencies are subject to the notice requirements under the Administrative Procedures Act.
