Meetings pertaining to the issuance, suspension, renewal or revocation of a license can be closed. However, a hearing at which evidence is offered or rebutted in support of a disciplinary action against a licensee must be open.
Although the public body may deliberate in private in regard to actions against the licensee, all final actions must be taken in an open meeting.
Boards subject to the Uniform Licensing Act or the Administrative Procedures Act also must comply with those statutes in connection with the issuance, suspension, renewal or revocation of a license. NMSA 1978 § 10-15-1-H (1)
